HISTORIC SUCCESS IN A MOOT COURT CASE

The team of the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava has achieved an exceptional success in the Telders International Law Moot Court Competition. In the 47th year of the largest European competition simulating proceedings before the International Court of Justice, the faculty was represented by a team consisting of Barbara Vargová, Denisa Demianová, Ema A. Chromá and Eva Hamašová under the guidance of coaches Dr. Nikolas Sabján and Dr. Igor Hron. The team managed to qualify for the final round in a tough competition of European universities and won several prestigious awards.
The Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava was awarded 1st place in the final ranking, and received the prestigious Max Huber Award, bestowed by the Swiss Embassy in the Netherlands.
In addition, the final couple representing the position of the Respondent State managed to win the Best Oral Argument for the Respondent. At the same time, Ema A. Chromá was awarded the individual prize for the best overall speaker, the Best Oralist Award.
This accomplishment is the result of the hard work and determination of the entire team, as well as the quality leadership of our coaches who have put in countless hours preparing and training the team. We are proud to support and develop future talents who are ready to face the toughest challenges in the field of international law in competition with the best European universities.
