LAWYERS IN THE CYBER ARENA

As part of the Cyber Security Law course, students of the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava have taken part in an excursion to CyberArena. It is a training and education centre established at MIRRI SR (Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic) within the Cybersecurity Section.

Director of the Cyber Security Section of MIRRI SR PhDr. JUDr. Mgr. Ervín Šimko, MBA, LL.M. welcomed the students and opened the excursion. Afterwards, the staff of the Government CSIRT Unit introduced the CSIRT Unit, its tasks and then took the students through various demonstrations of cyber-attacks and their consequences. In addition, students were also presented tools and methods that are used to protect against cyber threats.

The excursion proved to be of great benefit to the students and contributed to raising their awareness of cybersecurity issues. The students became aware of the importance of protecting themselves from cyber threats and learned how to protect themselves from cyber threats.
