MUTUAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT
ON MARCH 8, 2022, THE DEAN OF THE FACULTY OF LAW CU (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS "PRAF UK"), DOC. JUDR. EDUARD BURDA, PHD., AND GENERAL DIRECTOR OF THE SLOVAK LAND FUND (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS "SPF") MGR. JÁN MAROSZ MET AT THE FACULTY PREMISES TO SIGN A MUTUAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN PRAF UK AND SPF.
On March 28, 2022, the heads of institutions, the Dean of PraF UK, doc. JUDr. Eduard Burda, PhD., and the General Director of the Slovak Land Fund, Mgr. Ján Marosz met at the premises of the Faculty of Law to sign the Agreement on Mutual Cooperation between Praf UK and SPF (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement").
The Dean of the Faculty of Law CU and the General Director of SPF have expressed an interest in active cooperation in the areas of professional intersection and link the practical experience of the SPF employees as experts in its field of competence with theoretical knowledge from academia. The Dean and the General Director agreed that it is necessary, appropriate and for the benefit of both institutions to seek answers to the practical questions and issues arising in the performance of the activities of the SPF staff, including the engagement of an independent academic community. Such cooperation may assist SPF to solve their current problems and for academics from Praf UK, it may represent a practical motivation for writing an academic study, analysis, work, and articles in a generalized form. At the same time, both representatives confirmed the common interest and willingness to develop the orientation on values, professional ethics and education of students of the Faculty of Law, as well as the SPF employees through cooperation. Mr Burda and Mr Marosz are aware of the obligation of higher education institutions to create a creative, dynamic and stimulating study environment open to cooperation and partnership with the general public and the obligation to lead the students to creative, critical and independent thinking.
The above objectives of the Agreement can be fulfilled, inter alia, by engagement of the SPF employees in the pedagogical process at Praf UK, as participants - active or passive within the respective sections of international conferences organized by Praf UK, as well as training and consultations in practical processing of final thesis of Praf UK students. Thanks to a broad academic community consisting of members of 11 departments and members of 6 institutes of Praf UK, the Faculty of Law can offer SPF a range of training and courses that meet the needs of SPF, as well as provide assistance in resolving complex legal issues through legal analysis. Another advantage and benefit for students under the Agreement represent the opportunity to participate in internships at SPF, during which students will gain practical skills and knowledge, will be able to participate in the implementation of new processes, such as the SPF call centres, and will have the opportunity to see and experience the performance of the SPF activities.
In addition, SPF and PraF UK have agreed to cooperate on a variety of scientific projects and in the solution of grant projects in the field of science, research and education in the scope of competence of the parties to the Agreement.
It is a mutually beneficial relationship, which entails great potential for both parties to the Agreement.
