Model European Parliament

This year's Model European Parliament is organised by the MEP Slovakia in partnership with the Faculty of Law at Comenius University in Bratislava on 25 and 27 May 2018 (Friday and Sunday) at 07:00 a.m.

This event is intended for high school students who have a unique opportunity to attend a model session of the European Parliament and become the representatives of Slovakia. They can try what it feels like to be a member of the European Parliament, how individual processes or committee sessions are held. The students work in small groups, in the so called committees (e.g. Security and Defence Committee, Constitutional Affairs Committee) where they have to resolve a particular issue and, at the same time, propose a solution which they subsequently present to other delegates.

The best national round delegates will represent Slovakia in the European session, which will be held in Toledo and Madrid (Spain) this year.
