Roman Law Moot Court
local round, 7 March 2018, Dean's Club, Faculty of Law
ELSA Bratislava and the Department of Roman, Canon and Ecclesiastical Law would hereby like to invite you to join the Roman Law Moot Court Competition and thus experience the proceedings before the “Roman senate”. You have a unique opportunity to test your knowledge, critical thinking and argumentation skills in the area of Roman Law and eventually win interesting prizes. The International Roman Law Moot Court Competition is composed of two rounds – a faculty round and an international Czech-Slovak round. These rounds comprise both a written and an oral part. In the first part, students are required to prepare a written analysis of a case and answer questions (within 90 minutes). Subsequently, they have to defend their analysis and conclusions orally before a panel of experts. Both an individual as well as a team composed of maximum 3 students can join the competition. This event is suitable (not only) for those who intend to take part in the Moot Court for the first time. The winner of the faculty round advances to the Czech-Slovak Finals which will be held at the Faculty of Law at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica this year. The faculty round will be held on 7 March (Wednesday) at 09:00 in the Dean's Club (3rd floor).
Deadline for applications: 6 March 2017
