Assoc. Prof. Andraško in a Discussion on Driverless Cars

Assoc. Prof. JUDr. Jozef Andraško, PhD., Director of the Institute of Information Technology Law and Intellectual Property Law at the Faculty of Law, Comenius University Bratislava, was a guest on the Rádio Slovensko programme Kontakty, broadcast on 24 June 2026, which focused on the topic “Driverless Cars.”
Together with Marek Galinski from the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, he discussed the forthcoming rules for automated vehicles, their possible operation on Slovak roads, the readiness of road infrastructure, supervision of driverless vehicles, as well as issues of legal liability in the event of traffic accidents. The programme was moderated by Michal Čabák.
Autonomous mobility is one of the current challenges of technological development, requiring not only technical but also legal and societal solutions. The participation of a representative of the Faculty of Law, Comenius University Bratislava, in the expert discussion underscores the Faculty’s significance as an actor in public and expert debate on the legal aspects of new technologies.
