Automated Vehicles and the Law: Regulatory Challenges for the Future of Mobility
11 March 2026, Praha
As part of the CUSEC project, Assoc. Prof. Jozef Andraško, PhD. spoke at the 3rd Czech-Slovak Symposium on the Challenges of Artificial Intelligence for Administrative Law, held at the Conference Center of the Czech Academy of Sciences (Villa Lanna) in Prague.
His presentation, titled “Testing Automated Vehicles in Road Traffic: Quo Vadis, Slovakia?”, focused on the current regulatory framework in Slovakia and broader international developments in the field of testing and validating automated driving systems. The discussion also touched on significant issues of cybersecurity, privacy protection, and the risks of cybercrime associated with the development of new mobility technologies.
The symposium brought together leading experts and academics who discussed current legal and regulatory challenges related to artificial intelligence—including regulatory sandboxes, AI governance, and the use of new technologies in public administration.
The event also provided an opportunity to meet and discuss with leading experts in this field, including Prof. Sofie Ranchordás, Ph.D. (Tilburg University) and Tereza Čížková, Ph.D., from the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, as well as other experts and speakers.
We thank the organizers for the stimulating discussions and the opportunity to exchange professional insights.
