The project focuses on the problems of application practice in public procurement caused by various factors - insufficient or inaccurate legislative regulation, lack of sufficient number of professionally qualified persons operating in this area, anti-competitive behaviour of individual tender participants, inappropriate or insufficiently set processes in public procurement. 

 

The main objective of the project is to develop concrete proposals for improvement of the legal regulation in the field of public procurement for the application practice, and thus, on the basis of the research results, to provide framework and specific legislative proposals in the field of legal regulation of public procurement in the Slovak Republic, as well as in the legal regulation of the European Union. The sub-objectives are the formulation of proposals and recommendations in three main areas of questions:

- tender documents and tender conditions,

- market distortions caused by public entities

- public procurement processes.

The project has a real customer - the Public Procurement Office as the central government
