History

The Institute of Information Technology Law and Intellectual Property Law of the Faculty of Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava was established on April 1, 2015 as a result of the reorganization of departments and institutes so that they better correspond to the scientific and pedagogical focus of individual legal branches. The institute continued the activities of the faculty, which provided teaching of subjects such as Legal Informatics and Computer Law.
