Daniel Zigo is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, Comenius University in Bratislava, where he earned his PhD. (Doctor of Philosophy) in 2021 in the field of commercial and financial law. In the same year, he also obtained the Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing, focusing on Chinese law. During his studies, he was actively involved as a member of the faculty's Academic Senate, Vice-Chair of the University Academic Senate, and a member of the Student Council for Higher Education (ŠRVŠ).

Professionally, he has worked in international law firms, the Public Procurement Office, and as director of the Innovation Center for Industrial Property at the Faculty of Law, Comenius University. Since 2021, he has been an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Clinical Legal Education at the Faculty of Law, Comenius University.

He has participated in study and research stays abroad, including at the International Anti-Corruption Academy in Vienna (2017), where he is a member of the alumni club, Galway Business School in Ireland (2022), and National Taiwan University (2024). He is a member of the Sylff network and a recipient of the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund and the Chinese Government Scholarship.

Dr. Zigo is the author of scholarly articles, co-author of textbooks on commercial law, and commentaries on legal regulations. He is also part of research teams on grant projects (APVV and KEGA). His areas of expertise include corporate law, contract law, public procurement, international trade law, and clinical legal education.
