Scope of function:

 JUDr. Laura Fotopulosová, PhD. LL.M. is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Comenius University in Bratislava. In 2021, she completed her master's degree with honors and enrolled in a doctoral program in civil law. In 2023, she defended her thesis on "Procedural Specifics of Medical Disputes and the Position of Patients in Civil Litigation." In 2024, after successfully defending her dissertation on "Causal Nexus in Private Law," she was awarded the title of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). In 2025, she completed her LL.M. studies at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague, graduating with a thesis on "Liability for damage caused by compulsory vaccination with an emphasis on causality."

She is currently an assistant professor at the Institute of Clinical Legal Education at the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava and also serves as director of the Institute of Foreign Language Legal Communication. In addition to teaching subjects provided by the Institute of Clinical Legal Education, she also teaches substantive and procedural civil law. In her professional and scientific activities, she focuses mainly on health law and substantive and procedural civil law with regard to the issue of liability for damages in civil law. She actively participates in scientific and research projects, is the author of several scientific publications, and actively participates in domestic and international conferences and other events.
