Scope of function:
• dean's representative in building relationships with professional community as well as general public in the Slovak Republic and abroad
• academic diplomacy
• preparation of advisory opinions, analyses prepared for the dean upon request
He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Comenius University in Bratislava in 2004 and started to work at the Department of Criminal Law, Criminology and Criminalistics at the Faculty of Law at Comenius University in Bratislava in 2007. In addition to this, he is a practising attorney-at-law focusing on defence in the criminal proceedings. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the European Criminal Bar Association – ECBA, in London. Furthermore, he is an active member of the Slovak Bar Association in the area of criminal law and international relations. He is also a member of the Legal Expert Advisory Panel of Fair Trial International with its seat in London and Brussels.
He participated in a number of study visits and internships abroad – e.g. Fordham Law School New York (2009), New York University, School of Law (2010), Tel Aviv University, The Buchmann Faculty of Law (2010), Shizuoka University, Law School (2011), Lomonosov Moscow State University (2012). He delivered several lectures on Slovak criminal law and Slovak criminal proceedings abroad.
He is an active participant in the scholarly conferences and specialist seminars in the Slovak Republic and abroad. He is an author of a number of specialist papers, a co-author of the course book on criminal procedural law and a co-author of commentary on the Criminal Code published by C.H. Beck.
