Université de Nantes:
Please take the time to read our Information Sheet, as well as our Study Abroad Application Procedure and Housing information available on our page before advising your students to apply online to study abroad at Nantes Université: https://english.univ-nantes.fr/education/application-procedures/exchange-students
In order to ensure that students complete their coursework successfully, a minimum score of B1 of French language, as defined by the Council of Europe, is required by Nantes Université if students take courses in French. The Faculty of Letters and Humanities (French Literature, Educational Sciences, Languages Sciences, Information-Communication, Philosophy, History) expect students to have a score of B2 or higher.
For students taking all their courses in English, especially in the Science and Technology, Law and Political Science faculties and at Polytech, a minimum level of B1 in English is required. And it is strongly recommended that students have an A2 level in French in order to live well in France on a daily basis.
Thus, students are asked to provide in any case proof of proficiency in French, attested by the French department at their home university or an official French language test/certificate with the student’s level of proficiency (DELF, DALF, TCF, or OLS).
Please note that accommodation is allocated to students for a whole semester or academic year and not for short stays.
To benefit from the French class free program, students interested must apply via the online application: Under “French Language Courses”, answer “YES” to the question “Would you like to benefit from the French support classes?” Students must also specify the period: 1st semester, 2nd semester or full academic year. There will be no changes or withdrawals once the application is submitted.
Students have access to the online class catalog that they must use is order to build and edit their learning agreement. Nantes Université’s edited PDF learning agreement has then to be signed by the student and his home university.
We will send an email to confirm whether university housing has been granted to candidates. Please note that the housing agreement is obligatory and will be made for a fixed period: From September 1st to May 31st for the full academic year. From September 1st to January 15th for 1st semester. From January 16th to May 31st for the 2nd semester.

Accommodation: Exchange students should be aware that it is their responsibility to find accommodation for the duration of their stay. Students can apply for dormitory placement in the application survey or rent a flat. As Budapest is a lively big city, students can easily find flats for rent. They can read more about the university dormitories and other possible accommodations on our website.
Courses: The courses available for Erasmus students at KRE are listed by Faculty on the university's Erasmus courses webpage. Clicking on a Faculty reveals the list of courses offered within that Faculty. The courses are usually updated 1-2 months before the semesters start. We do not know until then what courses will be available. Courses from previous academic years are available on the website. The courses are similar each year, therefore, they can take a look at previous semesters. Please note that the course list can change due to unforeseeable circumstances. Courses might be cancelled, or new ones can appear. Please, regularly check the course list! All Erasmus courses are worth 6 ECTS. Apart from other foreign language programs (Dutch, German, etc), all courses are taught in English.

University of Bergen:
Courses
- The course list for 2025/2026 is available online.
- Students may in addition to courses within the subject area of the agreement, apply for restricted courses from other departments at the same faculty (given that they meet the previous knowledge required). Students may take open courses across faculties.
- Please note that for restricted courses with a limited number of places, students nominated on an exchange agreement in the relevant subject area will be prioritised. Earth Science and Biological Sciences have very limited capacity.
English Language Requirements
- Students are required to have a minimum level B2 (CEFR) in English. We consider your nomination of the student as confirmation of language proficiency, and do not require any English test to be submitted.
- Exception: Students who apply for courses in English Language and Literature must have a minimum of level C1 (CEFR). They must document their language proficiency by submitting a test.
Student housing
- Exchange students are guaranteed student housing through the Student Welfare Organization (Sammen) if they apply in Sammen’s application portal within the application period 1 April – 10 May.
- The students will be offered housing shortly after the deadline and should accept the offer, even if their admission at UiB is still under consideration.
- Shared rooms will be allocated to short term students (1 semester stay).
- Students who will not be coming to UiB must cancel the tenancy agreement within 24 June. Cancellations after the deadline are treated as an ordinary termination period, meaning that students may only terminate their agreement 3 months after the start of the tenancy, with 3 months' notice.
Students with special needs
- Students with special needs can get special arrangements and assistance from UiB during their exchange period.
- Sammen can offer rooms/apartments that are specially adapted for students with special needs. Due to capacity limitations only students with physical impairments/disability will qualify for special housing adaptation. The students must apply through Sammen’s application portal during the period 1 April – 10 May.
- Requests for disability-related accommodations are considered on a case-by-case basis and availability. Supporting documentation (medical certificate), must be submitted to SAMMEN. Please note that students are not guaranteed a disability adapted room/single room even if medical certificate is provided.
