The Phenomenon of Feminization of the Slovak Judiciary

Only a century ago, women were absent from the public sphere, including law. The entry of women into the legal arena represents a revolutionary change in the legal profession, which bears significant societal responsibility and has substantial representation in all three branches of power. Within the judiciary, women now outnumber men in terms of their overall numbers, and the representation of women in the Slovak judiciary significantly exceeds the European average. This phenomenon has not yet been examined within Slovak legal scholarship.
