Principal Investigator: doc. JUDr. Lenka Freel, PhD.
Implementation: 2024 - 2026
The society has undergone changes over the last two years. The COVID-19 pandemic the war in Ukraine have affected the entire international community, and individual states were forced to act. In cosequence of the extraordinary events, pitfalls that the society secretly fights have been exposed. Pitffals, related to unavailability of the labour market for mothers, inequality between women and men, informal ekonomy, the high number of women in frontline careers (healthcare, services), women´s economic dependency related to loss of income, taking care of a family member or loss of income, taking care of a family member or loss of work, insufficient capacity in preschool facilities, domestic violence, issues with accepting documents and the overall rigidness of the system. Both the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine have affected women, more then other groups, and they presented new questions and challenges. It is imperative that legal scholarship initiales a society-wide debate on the above-mentioned issues and proposes a fundamental legal framework.
